At Skill Scaffolding, our staff come first; that’s why we’re ecstatic to launch our new staff induction portal and wellbeing system.

We love welcoming new members of staff to the team. For us, it’s fantastic to see #TeamSkill grow and grow… after all, we’re a big family!

That’s why – last month – we were excited to launch our brand new staff induction portal. The new remote portal is a brilliant way for staff to dive into the world of Skill Scaffolding, without the need  to visit the site office.

And while we love nothing more than getting our team together under one roof, their safety is our number one priority.

Our new staff induction portal means that we can continue working under COVID-19 measures, while still giving our staff the induction they deserve.

We worked with Power Plus Group to film a collection of training videos on site and in head office to add to the portal. This is a brilliant addition, as it allows staff to keep together with all the latest training, even if they cannot visit us in office.

The staff induction portal will also feature any changes in our RAMs (Risk Assessment and Method Statements), and so will also be an important space for long-term members of staff.

But, the really nifty part is the way in which staff can access the portal. They can either login and sign up to the new RAMs on any site (rather than go to the office) or they can scan the QR code which will be printed on their hard hat. This feature will also allow us to scan their hats while out on inspections.

We are so excited by this much-anticipated launch and hope the staff induction portal will prove valuable to all members of staff.

Because we can’t leave our current members of staff out, can we?

Early next year, we will be delivering a brand new harness to all members of staff, keeping them safe while working at height. We have opted for the Aresta Double Lanyard Tails as these ensure our teams are 100% clipped on when carrying out their duties.

This matters, because keeping them safe is our number one priority.
