The saying goes ‘there is no I in TEAM’ and that certainly applies here at Skill, each and every member of our team is essential, and we are proud of how well we all work together to run the ‘Skill Machine!’ As you can see below, when a new member joins us it tends to be long term, and we put that down to our passion for everyone to succeed, and the necessity to have a little giggle here and there while we do it!

Alan Skilton
Managing Director

Alan worked as a scaffolder with Skill for many years before he joined the office team, where he fast moved through the ranks and took over his Fathers role as Managing Director, by doing this he has gained experience in all aspects of the business and continues to lead the Company to becoming bigger and better!

Alison Rogers
Finance Director

Alison has been with Skill since 1998, and is known as our ‘Skill Mum’. She started as our receptionist and now runs the Finance Department, looks after all of the Companies Training needs, the Company Accreditations, and the personnel!

Spenser Cerasoli

Spenser joined Skill in 2000. Today, his main role is to win new clients, which is a great fit for Spenser because he certainly has the gift of the gab! And since this task is made easier because we are pretty great, Spenser also works as part of the estimating team!

Darren Clement
Commercial Director

Darren came to us in 2009 as a Contract Manager, but it was soon discovered that his talent lies in numbers! He now looks after all of the contracts to ensure an efficient and cost effective result for both client and company.

Lee Marshall
Head of Health and Safety

Lee joined our team in 2016, he started as a scaffolder but completed his NEBOSH at the same time, he now works tirelessly to keep Skill updated with Health and Safety Initiatives and regulations, and to keep the whole team working as safely as possible!

Andy Haynes
Quality Control Manager

Andy is a man of many talents! He joined us back in 2002. Andy looks after our Quality Control, and assists Lee with Health and Safety. But alongside his day to day work, Andy is always our ‘go to’ man! He can fix anything, and is the most helpful member of our team!

Karl McLeod
Head of Operations

Karl came on board in 2011, he also started out as a scaffolder, but soon got involved in organising projects, and now he plans where the workforce will go each day; no easy task with around 100 staff!

Dean Hudson
Operations Manager

Dean has been with Skill so long that his start date got archived on old paper format payroll records! He is the longest standing member of our team, and he has moved with Skill as it has grown over the years. His role now is to act as eyes and ears in Operations, out every day looking after clients needs, and checking the projects are progressing as they should.

Warren Asher
Operations Manager

Warren joined as a scaffolder in 2013, he has progressed through the ranks and is now a valued member of the management team, he works alongside both Karl and Dean, supporting clients out on site, and looking after the Skill workforce.

Chris Hillier
Contracts Manager
Chris 'Hills' Hillier started his career with Skill in 2008 and like much of Skills management team, worked from the ground up - from apprentice to advanced scaffolder. Receiving a well deserved promotion to Contracts Manager in 2021, Chris works directly alongside our Operations team to keep our ever-evolving projects moving in the right direction!
Dan Chapman
Fleet & Logistics Manager
Dan 'Chappers' is the newest member of the Skill family, joining us at the very end of 2020. As the title suggests, Dan is responsible for maintaining our extensive fleet of vehicles, keeping them in tip top shape all year round! He can often be found in our yard tinkering with the underside of a vehicle, before scratching his head in bemusement!
Kylie Reading
PA to the Directors
Kylie joined the skill team in November 2020. Her role is both a diverse and important one; and typically the first voice you'll hear when calling our head-office! She is always on the ball, ready to lend a hand to whom ever needs it at a moments notice. She works swiftly and with precision, something which goes hand in hand with her love of volleyball!
James Wall
Business Development Manager
James started with Skill early November 2020, bringing with him 8 years of industry knowledge; having previously held multiple roles within Altrad Generation. Although he's never picked up a spanner, James's talent lies within his ability to seek out potential business opportunities; whether that be with our suppliers, contractors or new and existing clients!
