Skill Scaffolding are proud to have been awarded ISO 9001 certification – another string to add to the Skill bow.
If you follow us on social media, you’ll have seen that Skill Scaffolding were recently awarded ISO 9001 certification. This is a major achievement for the team during a difficult time, and something we will celebrate as soon as the entire Skill family can come back together.
As with all our achievements, our ISO accreditation is a homage to our staff; not least our Head of Health and Safety, Lee Marshall. So, to all of you, we raise a glass.
But what is the ISO 9001 standard and why is it important for a company to have it?
We get that unless you’re *in the know*, it may just seem like a bunch of letters and numbers.
ISO 9001 is the most recognised international quality management system in the game. It’s proof that a business is home to the very best operations and that their controlling paperwork, leadership, non conformities and procurement are second to none.
A business achieves their ISO 9001 certification by passing a stringent audit; and once they’ve got this in hand, they can expect some pretty juicy benefits.
A business that hits the ISO 9001 standard shows that they can deliver an industry leading service.
It marks a commitment to continuous improvement and streamlined operations, which can lead to:
- A reduction in costs
- More business wins
- Higher product and service quality
- A boost in company and staff morale
- Satisfied customers (and continuous referrals)
- A resilient, sustainable business
- Strong corporate governance
- A more efficient supplier chain
The fact that Team Skill has been able to prove that we are a worthy member of the club is providing a beacon of light as we navigate our new, complex way of working and is now one of many certificates in our gallery.
